The 35th Anniversary of PRC coin set contains three of 1984’s commemorative coins. A ￥1 coin Chairman Mao on Tiananmen, a ￥1 coin Dancers and a ￥1 coin Huabiao (a type of ceremonial columns used in traditional Chinese architecture). The obverse of each coin in the set features National emblem. This is the first common commemorative coin set in China.

1984年發行的建國三十五周年流通紀念幣，一套三枚，主題分別是開國大典、民族大團結和華表。它是新中國第一套流通紀念幣，從當時央行內部文件看，其定義就是面值發行，可以在市場上流通。

In addition, there are unique attributes about the coin set. For example, the coin set was divided into Shenyang version and Shanghai version and the quality was divided into BU and Proof. In total, there are four versions for this coin set. Moreover, although it consists of 3 coins, the circulation is not the same. For example, more than two million ” Chairman Mao on Tiananmen” coins have been issued while the circulation of ” Dancers ” and ” Huabiao ” coins was 8 to 9 million. This is not common for a coin set.

除此之外，它還有很多特別的地方，比方說版別分瀋陽版和上海版，工藝分普制和精製，組合起來就是四個版別。又比方說，它雖然一套三枚，但每一枚的發行數量不盡相同，既有兩百多萬枚的開國大典，也有八九百萬枚的民族大團結和華表，對於套幣來說，數量不一致也比較少見。

In fact, over a long period, it was generally believed that all the Funding of PRC proof coins were made in Shenyang mint. Until one day when this coin set has been in circulation for more 20 years, a new version suddenly appeared, the main features of which were almost the same as the Shanghai Version. And the market defined it as the Shanghai version of the proof coin set. Because the Shanghai version coins are very rare, it becomes a newcomer among the circulated commemorative coins, and the value soars too.

其實在過去很長一段時間內，大家普遍認為建國精製幣只有瀋陽廠一個版別，直到這套幣發行了二十多年後的某一天，突然出現了一個新版別，主要特徵和普制上海版幾乎無異，市場定義其為上海版精製幣。由於發現數量很少，一下就成為了流通紀念幣中的新貴，身價扶搖直上。
